The course introduces a unique, modern approach for building Spanish fluency—designed for adults who are already studying or have studied some Spanish and want to train the skill of speaking. The Calistan Method complements traditional learning by focusing entirely on daily speaking practice.
It’s structured in a game-like format, powered by largely free technology and AI, and designed to make consistent practice easy, enjoyable, and effective. You’ll study less, speak more, and build a habit that leads to real fluency.
How Daily Speaking Practice Works
Speaking is not the result of studying — it is the result of practice.
The Calistan Method trains spoken Spanish through deliberate, repeated translation performed out loud. In practice, it feels much like a language-learning app — but one designed specifically for speaking. Instead of memorizing vocabulary lists or analyzing grammar in isolation, you practice converting short thoughts and sentences from English into Spanish, just as you must do in real conversation.
Each practice session follows a simple, repeatable loop. You see a sentence in English, translate it out loud to Spanish, hear a native speaker model the correct response, evaluate your answer, and move on. Over the course of a session, you translate dozens of sentences, reinforcing pronunciation, grammar, structure, and vocabulary at the same time.

The Calistan Method includes curated speaking content designed to complement traditional Spanish study. Each topic aligns with common learning themes found in classes, textbooks, and apps, allowing you to study a concept anywhere and then immediately practice speaking it here. Content is organized into focused decks inside the learning platform, making daily spoken practice structured and efficient.
Foundations I builds the structural core of spoken Spanish using a small set of the most common verbs in speech. Practice begins in the present tense and quickly expands across all verb forms used in context. This mastery-based approach allows learners to communicate fully—albeit on a limited set of topics—making it ideal for beginners and a powerful refresher for everyone.
Foundations II expands into more nuanced and advanced structures required for real conversation. This track introduces forms such as the subjunctive, imperatives, and more complex sentence patterns, reinforcing how they are used through repeated spoken translation. The focus remains on practical, spoken use rather than theoretical explanation.
This content provides a comprehensive speaking companion to Spanish study, with 1,600+ curated phrases organized into progressive decks. The structure allows learners to reinforce what is studied elsewhere — and convert that knowledge into speech.
Course Structure and Pricing
Speaking is a skill that develops over time through consistent, deliberate practice. The Calistan Method is structured to support that process with clear onboarding, guided progression, and ongoing support.
Onboarding Course — $300 one-time fee
This self-paced course walks you through the setup, configuration, and use of the platform and tools that drive the entire Calistan Method. You’ll be guided step by step through the underlying technology, including how to configure it properly, how the pieces work together, and how to avoid common mistakes. The course also demonstrates best practices for daily practice—how to work with translated sentences, evaluate spoken responses, and use the system efficiently.
Ongoing Membership — $100 per month
The ongoing membership exists to support consistency, progression, and long-term success. It provides structure, guidance, and accountability as you build the habit of daily practice. You may cancel at any time. Membership includes:
Curated speaking content— access to Foundations I and Foundations II, with ongoing expansions over time.
Live small-group sessions— held at least twice per month, focused on practice, challenges, and consistency.
Community forum access— moderated community for questions, shared progress, and ongoing accountability.
Course Summary & Enrollment
Enrollment begins with the onboarding course. This first phase is designed to set up the tools, technology, and structure required to begin the Calistan Method. The onboarding course is self-paced and focused on putting the necessary infrastructure in place so you can engage with the methodology as intended.
Once you have completed the material in the onboarding course, you will move into the subscription-based membership. This is where the ongoing guided practice and support take place. A separate enrollment link will be provided later for that next phase.
After each enrollment, we’ll be in contact to help you get started and confirm next steps. Enrollment is not a one-way door. If it turns out the course isn’t the right fit, we’ll handle directly and follow up as appropriate. The goal is happy students on the path to fluency.
